Is stroke risk increased in young people with COVID-19?

Specialists at ISC 2021 debated whether COVID-19 increases the risk of large vessel occlusion (LVO) and stroke in younger patients

These include endothelial injury in the central nervous system, the presence of microthrombi, cardiac injury, and plaque rupture due to inflammation.
