Direct transfer to angiography suite improves reperfusion rate and post-stroke disability in LVO

New data from a randomized controlled trial indicate reduced hospital delays and improved onset to reperfusion time and post-stroke disability, by direct transfer to angiography suite (DTAS) in patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO).

Researchers at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain, compared the impact of DTAS with conventional direct transfer to computed tomography (DTCT) in 147 LVO patients within 6 hours from stroke onset.
